Coming up immediately is the Friends of the Banks Library fall book sale, starting on Thursday, October 3 and running through Monday, October 7 in the Jane Moore Community Room at the Banks Public Library.

Starting October 12, the Banks Public Library will feature free yoga classes three days a week, taught by Gregg Hendrix.

Vinyasa yoga, a ‘flowing pose’ style of yoga according to library staff, will be taught Mondays from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., while Yin yoga, a style featuring mostly seated poses, will be held Tuesdays from 5:35 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Reiki Energy classes will also be Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:25 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own mat, but some will be available to be lent out.

All classes are open to all levels of experience.
