The city of Banks said a 12 month project to build a new pump station and a force main (a pressurized sewer pipe) to serve the Aerts Addition development would begin in November.

According to Clean Water Services, the county's sewer agency, the new sanitary sewer pump station will will be built just north of where the railroad tracks cross under Highway 6.

A full project page with details, maps, and a timeline is available.

The force main will stretch from there to NW Ashton Drive and NW Oak Way, and continue behind Jim’s Market to connect to the existing Oak Village Pump Station, Clean Water Services said.

The agency said area residents should expect construction traffic and noise in the area, and that portions of Oak Way will require road closures with detours in place.

"Access to residences will be provided at all times," Clean Water Services said.

Updates will be provided on the project webpage and via email.
