The Banks High School homecoming court will parade down Trellis Way to Main Street, and into the Banks High School and Banks Middle School parking lot Friday, October 10.

The city of Banks reminded area residents that the city will block access to NW Trellis Way starting at 2 p.m. to allow for safe passage for those in the parade, and for the elementary school students who line up to watch the pomp and circumstance.

"If you are parked on NW Trellis Way at that time, you will be asked to move," the city said in an email.

The pickup line for parents driving to collect their children will begin at the corner of NW Arbor Park Loop and NW Trellis Way, the city said. "Please do not block driveways, streets, or intersections in the subdivision," they added.

Following the parade, Trellis Way will reopen and the line can move onto the road.

"This morning we announced the homecoming court," the Banks High School said in a social media post. "Tappers: Gavin Herbert, Damian Robles, Judson Woods, Cole Wilson, Chance Lindsey, and Chase Tabb. Princesses Navaeh Jimenez, Sawyer Peters, Lauren Jansen, Adelaide Wilson, Jade Janecek, and Olivia Oldfield," the school said in a post announcing the court noting the week's homecoming themes.

Monday, students were to dress "with a touch of class," while Tuesday was "tacky tourist," Wednesday was patriotism-themed, Thursday was reserved for class themes, and Friday was the traditional blue & gold of the Banks Braves.

On Friday, the school's homecoming game will be played against Kennedy High School.

The Braves, who've won every game in the season so far, will take on the Trojans starting at 7 p.m. at Kelley Field.
