The Washington County Sheriff's Office assisted the Oregon State Police on Sunday evening in stopping a BMW driver traveling at about 120 mph on Highway 6, deflating the vehicle's tires with a spike trap between Banks and Gales Creek.
A husband-and-wife duo was cited by police after the wife shot a deer near the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club and then the husband walked onto the golf course with an AR-15 rifle in search of the wounded animal, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP).

About 20 student actors and crew and adult volunteers from the Banks High School Drama Club gathered in the high school cafeteria Saturday, Nov. 30. It was the first dress rehearsal for the club's performance of "The Giver," taking place December 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.
