Washington County Auditor Kristine Adams-Wannberg is asking the public for ideas on what county government programs, services, and processes should be audited in 2026.

Performance audits can take a wide range of approaches, from examining the county's compliance with laws, regulations, and policies to assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of county operations.

"Each year, we receive a lot of different ideas on what to review," Adams-Wannberg said. "Ideas directly from the public are best, because they show areas the community is concerned about."

Those with ideas for audit topics can submit them via the form on the County Auditor's website at forms.co.washington.or.us/form/contact-the-auditor.

The call for ideas is open until Friday, February 20. The County Auditor will announce her selection of topics in March.
