The Oregon Parks and Recreation tradition of offering a free guided hike to ring in the new year at Stub Stewart and other state parks continues, though parking on that day is no longer free.
The Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission adopted new rules governing e-bike use in state parks during its April 23 meeting, and the result will likely see Stub Stewart State Park open more trails to e-bikes.
Stub Stewart State Park is host to a variety of activities — disc golf, horseback riding, mountain biking, to name a few — and for one night on Saturday, July 20, the park will transform into a movie theater for a free showing of Director Nicolas Roeg's The Witches.
