A town hall for Washington County residents to meet with Oregon's junior Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., will be held in Beaverton on Friday, January 16.
The Washington County stop will be held beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Conestoga Recreation Center Gymnasium (9985 SW 125th Ave, Beaverton). Merkley will have traveled there from a stop in Multnomah County, and will head afterward to a stop in Columbia County.
Visitors to the town hall can typically expect to hear prepared remarks by the senator, followed by a question-and-answer session.
“I'm looking forward to again visiting wonderful communities all over our state. By talking directly to folks in each county my team and I can go to work for the interests and needs most important in each corner of our state,” Merkley said.
The senator visits each of Oregon's 36 counties yearly for a community town hall.
Merkley will be in Lincoln, Tillamook and Clatsop counties on Saturday, January 17, followed by town halls in Lane, Benton and Linn counties on Sunday, January 18.
U.S. Rep. Val Hoyle will join Merkley for the town hall in Lane County, and U.S. Rep. Janelle Bynum for the Linn County town hall.
