The Friends of the Banks Public Library will hold a book sale in the Banks Public Library’s Jane Moore Community Room starting Thursday Oct. 24 to Saturday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 28, skipping Sunday when the library is closed.

Ballots for the Nov. 5 election were mailed to Washington County Voters Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Washington County Elections Division said in a press release.
"I have learned a great deal about the growth to come to our little town. I want to be part of its growth and planning for the future of my town," Debra Berry said in an email to the Banks Post.
“Banks is special to me for so many reasons," Marilyn McCalister said in an email to the Banks Post. "The beauty, the sense of community, the smaller population which makes it possible to get to know community members and develop strong relationships."
