Banks October 2025 Police Log

Maps of the Banks High School and a list of "friends and enemies" by two students triggered red flags and prompted home visits by law enforcement in October. Officials deemed it to not be a threat.

This is the Banks Police monthly report for October 2025.

Notable calls for October,
In September I mentioned a domestic couple consuming a lot of police resources. In October that same residence saw 3 more calls for service to include 10/4 a call for a neighbor to call the police. Deputies arrived and the couple was in a heated argument, but no arrests were made as there were no crimes reported. On 10/7 we returned to the same home for a suicide attempt where the male cut himself to kill himself. He was nearly unconscious when deputies arrived and provided life saving care till medics could stabilize him and transport him to the hospital. On 10/20 there was another reported domestic disturbance that was verbal only. Following this day a restraining order was granted and served on the male half, and he has since move out with no further calls to the home.

10/24 – At the High School two students were reported to have several maps of the school made up and a friends and enemies list. This triggered several red flags for the safety of the student body and a full risk assessment was completed to include home visits by law enforcement and searches of belongings at the school. The incident was reported by the students to be just games they play. There were no crimes, and the risk assessment concluded that there is no threat by these students, but they were advised about this behavior being inappropriate for school.

10/28 – Banks high School there was a serious physical assault on a student by another student. The aggressor of the two was arrested and formally charged. The injured student is healing up.

10/31 – Halloween was a hit the neighborhood was packed, and the streets were closed earlier than announced to prevent any further traffic issues. But as always in Oregon the rain caused a mass exodus earlier than expected and the roads were also opened earlier than announced.
