Once again, the city of Banks is looking for the best among the residents of Banks and surrounding communities who've left a lasting positive mark on the city through their good works.
"I don’t think it is a coincidence that the first car on the early morning of the first day I worked after [Banks Road] was opened was 38 MPH before cresting the hill leaving town," writes Deputy Ryan Pope in this month's police log.

Oregon State Police say a pedestrian on Highway 6 died after entering the roadway and being struck by a semi-truck on Highway 6 about three miles west of the Tillamook and Washington County line on Tuesday.
