TILLAMOOK - Adventist Health Tillamook announced it is naming Eric Swanson as president of its Tillamook operations. Swanson served as executive director of strategy and business development prior to his new role as president, and he also served “in a number of clinical roles with Adventist Health Tillamook for 30 years,” a press release said. Joyce Newmyer, president of the Pacific Northwest Region of Adventist Health, said Swanson’s breadth of leadership, experience in health care, his commitment to the communities served by Adventist Health Tillamook, and his passion for the healing mission of the health care organization make him uniquely qualified for this role. Swanson began his career as a hospital teen volunteer, then spent several years working as a paramedic, followed by leadership roles across Oregon in public safety and healthcare, which allowed him to develop a perspective on excellence in rural healthcare that will support the continued services in the community, the press release states.“I am thrilled to see Eric expand his role in Tillamook,” Newmyer said. “His deep experience with the community and in healthcare make him a perfect fit. Eric has been instrumental in bringing healthcare services to several of our coastal and inland communities that had not previously had a medical clinic.”
