The St. Francis of Assisi Steak Dinner and Tractor Show is Saturday, May 3.
Promising the best steak dinner in rural Washington County, the event is held from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of the St. Francis Church and the adjacent school.
Last year’s event drew crowds despite a rainy day, and a small army of around 150 volunteers kept the event humming, running the kitchen, a drive-thru, and a table selling adult beverages. The event was raising funds for a new parish hall in 2024.
Launched in 1968, the St. Francis of Assisi Steak Dinner and Tractor Show is a fundraiser for the only school in Roy, but like other rural festivals, it’s much more than that.
The event brings community members together to enjoy food and drink, a bazaar featuring handcrafted goods and items, and a tractor show featuring antique tractors.
A look at the event’s website — which can be used to order dinner in advance — shows a gallery of tractors from years past, as well as all the information you’d need to enjoy the dinner.
St. Francis is located at 39135 NW Harrington Road in Roy.
