The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said that a Level 2 (“BE SET”) evacuation had been issued for anyone living on SW Stepien Road near Hagg Lake after a wildfire sparked in the area.
With deputies walking along behind, a man wanted for stealing a car led a low speed pursuit Sunday in an excavator at a logging site north of Buxton, police say.
“Two juveniles trespassed on the mill property and caused damage while building “forts” in the wood stacks. Both juveniles were identified, and some very upset parents handled the discipline and worked with the mill manager to find a resolution to the incident,” this month’s police log notes.

Theft from vehicle – Arbor development: Unknown suspect(s) entered several unlocked vehicles and misc items (wallets, ear buds and other misc electronics) through out the arbor development.
