Seven months after opening, Sunset Hwy Bar & Grill is hosting a grand opening Friday, May 9.
“We will have pinatas starting at 5pm for the little ones, traditional Mexican dishes including Chicken and Mole, Chicken and Pipian, and Street Tacos,” the restaurant said in a social media post.
Happy hour is all day, featuring $1 off all mixed drinks, with 50 cents off on tap beer. A live band will begin after 5 p.m.
First opened in October 2024 at the corner of Sunset Highway and Dingheiser Road, the restaurant has attracted a steady following, expanded hours, and opened outdoor seating since it opened its doors.
Father Miguel Blas Beltran, who worked at the spot when it was still Blue Jays Restaurant is the head chef, while sons Roberto and Miguel round out the main staff.
Sunset Hwy Bar & Grill is located at 47100 NW Sunset Hwy in Manning.
