HAGG LAKE – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those injured and involved in the shootout with a suspect near Hagg Lake on Thursday, August 8.
Deputy Chris Iverson, a 7-year member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Corporal Jeremy Braun, a member of the sheriff’s office for 16 years, were both injured during the shooting.
Iverson was treated and released the same day as the shooting; Braun remains at an area hospital in serious but stable condition, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to Iverson and Braun, the following Washington County Sheriff’s Office members were involved in the shooting:
Sergeant John Crecelius – 16 years with the Sheriff’s Office
Corporal Cade Edwards – 16 years with the Sheriff’s Office
Deputy Justin Pelletteri – 11 years with the Sheriff’s Office
Deputy Steve Nichols – 10 years with the Sheriff’s Office
Other agency officers involved in the shooting include:
Detective Kevin Winfield, Tualatin Police Department – 27 years with TPD, Officer Jose Cabrera, Hillsboro Police Department – 5 years with HPD.
The shooting suspect, Dante James Halling, also remains in an area hospital, though the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has declined to say what condition he is in.
