The body of Thomas Geiger, a man missing in the Tillamook State Forest since February, was found Saturday at the summit of the Coast Range near Highway 6.

Fire danger drops to ‘moderate’ as fall rains begin
Rain has finally doused the region, and fire danger in Oregon Department of Forestry-protected lands in and around the Tillamook Forest is now listed at “moderate” as of Wednesday, but that doesn’t mean the risk is gone.
Tillamook Forest Center plans spring reopening
The Tillamook Forest Center is expected to open next year in March.
“We are anxious to reopen and host visitors with smiles and an overdue hello,” the center said.
