Good Evening Mayor, City Counsel, and anyone else watching or attending,
This is the Banks Police monthly report for March 2025.
There were four notable calls for March and I apologize for lack of detail due to the sensitive nature and privacy concerns for the involved.
On 3/14/25, a 92-year-old driver on NW Main St, crashed into a parked car near NW Wilkes St. It was determined that alcohol nor intoxicating substance were involved and both vehicles were towed and there were no injuries to report.
On 3/18/25, Police responded to a mental health crisis where an individual was taken into custody for their safety and placed on a hold in an area hospital.
On 3/21/25, Banks was again struck with the tragic loss of one of our high school youth. The individual died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The school was informed immediately afterward and there were counselors available for students that were affected by the loss of a classmate. The community mourns the loss of another of our local children.
On 3/30/25, in the late hours a golf cart was stolen from the golf course on their last days in operation before closing for good. Suspects cut a hole in the fence on Banks Rd and drove the golf cart out and away via Banks Rd. It is a maroon Yamaha golf cart if one is seen in the area.
This concludes the month of March Police Report and stats are below for your enjoyment.
