Theft/Wanted Subject: Jim’s Thriftway lot, a Banks Deputy was flagged down as they patrolled the parking lot of Jims Thriftway by one of Jims clerks. The deputy was informed that a female had just walked out with a basket full of groceries. The Deputy stopped the vehicle as it was leaving the parking lot and located the stolen groceries still in the red Jim’s hand basket. The suspect was arrested for shoplifting and for several outstanding warrants. 

Clear by arrest 

Hit and Run: NW Aerts Rd, a citizen reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in the lot of Quail Valley Golf Course. The vehicle was scratched along the entire drivers side causing several thousand dollars in damage. No note was left and no witnesses were able to be identified. 

Case suspended 

Attempted Suicide: NW Main Street, Deputies responded to a report of a 16 year old that had intentionally overdosed on morphine with the intent to commit suicide. The teen was arrested on a Police Office Hold and transported to Providence St. Vincent Hospital for treatment. 

Clear by arrest-POH 

Stalking: NW Broadshire Lane, Washington County Detectives and the Banks Deputy worked a case involving a Domestic Violence Survivor that moved to Oregon from the mid-west to flee from her attacker. The suspect discovered the survivor’s new location and made threats to come to find the survivor again. Working with DHS and outside agencies, the survivor was able to seek an order of protection here in Oregon. 

Information Report 

Theft: NW Main St, a citizen reported that their wallet was stolen overnight from their unlocked vehicle. No suspect information was located during the investigation. 

Case suspended Wanted Subject Found: NW Main St, Deputies learned that a wanted car thief was at a local business on NW Main St after an alert employee called in a tip to the Banks Deputy. While deputies were in route to the location, the business owner tipped the suspect off and he fled the business. Deputies learned that the suspect was staying at a location just outside the city and took him into custody without incident. 

Cleared by arrest
