As written by deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
This is the Banks Police monthly report by Deputy Pope and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. This month was the month of the Banks BBQ which was safe and fun. We had no incidents to intervene in or respond to. Traffic was very smooth due to the assistance of the traffic team who assisted.
Notable calls for this month are:
8/16/22 – a shoplifter at Jim’s was contacted by Deputy Ward and at the request of the store trespassed from the shopping center.
8/21/22 – 12:30 am – a disturbance in the neighborhood over a drunk attempting to drive. No arrests were made and the drunk was given a ride home.
8/26/22 – 02:30 am – In-N-Out was burglarized thru a broken drive up window. Male and Female suspects stole numerous cigarettes and vape pens. A K9 dog track was attempted and lasted for about 2 blocks where it is presumed a get away car was waiting. No suspects have been identified yet.
Although there were numerous other calls Deputies services a great deal were not necessarily criminal calls and or occurred within our City Limits.
