One-acre brush fire burning north of Banks

BANKS – Emergency crews are battling a one-acre brush fire north of Banks near NW Davidson Road, according to social media reports and a spokesperson from the Banks Fire District.

According to Mitch Ward, public information officer with the district, the fire is located near the 17000 block area of NW Davidson Road.

The district says that the fire is lined, in the mop up phase, and not threatening any structures.

Smoke from the fire is visible from the valley floor and along Highway 26.

The cause of the fire is not yet known by the Banks Post.

Banks Fire District is being assisted by Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, Hillsboro Fire Department, and the Cornelius Fire Department.
