2025 National Drinking Water Week winners proclaimed at city council meeting

The city of Banks holds a coloring contest annually to commemorate National Drinking Water Week for youth in Banks, and this year is no different. Here are the winners for 2025.

Here are the winners — and their artwork — of the contest. The artwork and awards were presented during the May 13 Banks city council meeting by Mayor Marsha Kirk.

Winners from first through third place receive gift cards for $25, $15, and $10 respectively, with their families receiving an equivalent amount as credit to their city waster bill.

Ages 10 – 12
1st place: Lyla Jacobs
2nd place: Kamilah Robles
3rd place: Lydia Ragan

Ages 7 – 9
1st place: Mason Nusser
2nd place: Renner Straub
3rd place: Emma Hayes

Ages 5-6
1st place: Lara Morris
2nd place: Parker Ragan

No entries were received for the 2-4 age range.
