Banks School District in lockout as deputies search for kidnapping attempt suspect in Banks

BANKS – Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a male suspect in an attempted kidnapping from the Banks area this morning.

Around 9:20 a.m., the lockout was lifted at all Banks schools, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

As a precaution, all Banks Schools were placed in lockout, according to the sheriff’s office and multiple parents of students at the school.

The suspect is described as a male on his early 40’s with a slim build, last seen wearing blue jeans and a red t-shirt.
