Studded tire season has once again been extended — this time to May 15 —in light of social distancing orders as the state grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vineeta Lower (R-Seaside), an online English public school teacher for the Oregon Virtual Academy, is running for the Republican nomination for the Oregon House of Representatives’ District 32 seat, which currently is held by outgoing rep. Tiffiny Mitchell (D-Astoria). It will be Lower's second attempt at the position after winning the Republican nomination but losing the general election to Mitchell in 2018.
