Banks Braves win the state baseball championship
The Banks Braves have won the baseball championship. With championship wins in football, basketball, and now baseball this school year, the Banks Braves have shattered school records and rocketed to the top of Oregon high school sports history, joining just two other schools in winning a triple crown.

The Banks Braves have a chance on Saturday to do what only one other school in the 100 year OSAA history has done: Win state championships in football, basketball, and baseball in the same year. State Representative Tiffiny Mitchell, representing Gales Creek, Banks, Gaston, and cities and communities up and down the North Coast will hold a town hall event on Sunday, June 2 at 3 p.m. at the Banks Public Library.

Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency will meet June 7 in Tillamook
HD 32 state rep. Tiffiny Mitchell said that she supports the concept of the Salmonberry Trail on its merits as an economic driver and as a way to showcase the natural beauty of the Tillamook State Forest. "I am aware that there are concerns from some over the trail, but am committed to and trust that advocates for the trail are working to address those through a robust and transparent process," Mitchell told the Banks Post.
